This is called cutaneous larva migrans, also known as creeping eruption. 😳
It happens when hookworm larvae — often from dogs or cats — penetrate the skin after contact with contaminated sand or soil.
The telltale sign is that wavy, snake-like, itchy red track that slowly moves under the skin, most commonly on the feet.
A good reminder that parasites are not always hidden deep in the gut… sometimes the signs can show up right on the skin.
